The youth is the future and the backbone of every society. Ghana National Association of Adventist Students over the years have been undertaking annual health fair and outreach. In 2017, United Service To Africa supported GNASS annual health fair and outreach as part of its mission of supporting projects that are initiated and managed by the youth with the focus of helping the vulnerable in the society. USTA’s support enabled GNAAS in July 2017 to carry out a two-week event at Ho- Anlokordzi Children’s Park in Volta Region of Ghana that included a two-day mini clinic that was specifically organized to reach the attendants of the outreach program. In all, about two hundred forty-two men, women and children ranging from ages 2 – 94 received medical consultation and care in the following: laboratory testing (RDT malaria test, blood sugar test, Hep. B test and Hemoglobin test), medical consultations, counselling, and pharmacy where medications were given for free to the beneficiaries. In addition, about 57 souls were won and baptized through the outreach program. USTA hopes to support similar projects in the future.
