Dr. Benjamin Opoku Bediako is a Board Certified Physical Therapist at Pivot Physical Therapy, Maryland, USA. where he attends to clients with Orthopedic & Sports Medicine conditions. He is compassionately committed to the relentless pursuit of healthiness and shares an absolute dedication to sensing, serving and satisfying the needs of clients/patients with invaluable respect to the role Physical Therapy plays in quality healthcare delivery. Prior to obtaining his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Loma Linda University, California, he had completed his BSc. Physiotherapy at University of Ghana, Legon, in 2007.
He received his Postgraduate Certification in Neurodevelopmental Therapy (Bobath/NDT) in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2011 and Professional Diploma in Project/Research Design & Mgt. at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK in 2012. At Loma Linda University he worked as Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant. He also had the opportunity to work at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Ghana, his native country, for ten (10) years as Principal Physical Therapist and the Managing Partner/Director for PhysioHub Gh. Ltd.
He has had the honor to serve as Financial Vice President for the Black Health Professionals Students’ Association in Loma Linda University. He has served in various portfolios for the Riverside Ghanaian SDA Church in Riverside, CA and Beulah SDA Church, Kumasi, Ghana including Sabbath School, Health Ministries & Stewardship Director. He also participated in a number of volunteer activities such as working as volunteer at a Physical Therapy Clinic called WonderLab.
WonderLab is a not-for-profit company that specializes in children with developmental delays due to a variety of diagnoses and helps in nurturing future therapists in pediatrics through mentoring and adding to the knowledge base by conducting IRB approved research in the greater San Bernardino and Riverside county areas. He is married with two lovely sons and a daughter and he loves to sing, play soccer, hike and share the gospel of redemption with others.
